About Me

Hi. I’m Mercy and I have been an avid reader my whole life.

My first real memory of being enthralled by a book was on my seventh birthday. My dad bought me the whole Chronicles of Narnia series and I read each book from cover to cover. I didn’t understand them, (really, what seven-year-old would) but the mystery kept me thinking about the stories long after I was done. Over the years I have gone back and re-read them, each time gaining a better understanding of the overall story and a reminder of why I loved it so much the first time.

I think that in order to be a good proofreader, it’s important to enjoy reading, any type of reading. My favourite genre is mystery, but I also enjoy psychological thrillers, detective stories (Holmes and Poirot will forever be my top favourite detectives), science fiction, memoir, and adventure, with the occasional romance or comedy thrown in.

I also enjoy coffee, rainy days, running, day hikes, and browsing my local library.
